There is nothing like the theatre.
For a few hours, audience and performers breathe as one, creating a communal experience that will never be repeated. We celebrate and grieve together, unified by our desire to portray and witness and understand the human condition -- in all its vile ugliness as well as its transcendent beauty -- as fully as possible. Then, if the play has done its job, we emerge from the theatre, changed. And we go our separate ways.

"Think of this moment. All that has ever been is in this moment; all that will be is in this moment. Both are meeting in one living flame, in this unique instant of time. This is drama; this is theatre -- to be aware of the Now."
